Keith Brodie of Barnes & Thornburg was recently recognized by national legal publication Chambers USA: A Guide to America’s Leading Lawyers in Business.
Brodie is a Grand Rapids labor and employment attorney and leads the firm’s Michigan department. Brodie’s practice focuses on collective bargaining, administration of collective agreements including arbitrations, defense of unfair labor practices, advice on union organizing efforts, and advice and training on maintaining union independence. He has negotiated collective agreements in most major industries and with most major unions. Brodie also develops employment law strategies for mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations and other desired operational changes.
In the area of employment law, Brodie handles EEOC and state agency discrimination charges, FMLA matters, FLSA matters, and issues related to hiring, discipline, and firing. He also advises on force reductions and WARN compliance, conducts training for supervisors and managers, and is a regular author and speaker on labor and employment topics.
