Johnny Depp fans are continuing their romance with lawyer Camille Vasquez after her team won the actor’s victory over Amber Heard in their high-profile libel lawsuit.
As well as praising her on social media, fans have now created dedicated merchandise for the shrewd lawyer, with many posts pleading with the legal eagle to run for president.
Items include t-shirts, hoodies, magnets, and even candles featuring Vasquez’s name and likeness. Some posts find followers comparing her to Depp’s ex with phrases such as “In a world full of Ambers, be a Camille.”
Others quoted Vasquez as she ran into Heard during the trial, including quips such as “respectfully, that’s not my question.”
Another option compares the lawyer to Wonder Woman.
Some fans of the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star have even suggested she and Depp should be dating — or maybe already have — an accusation which Vasquez has denied, calling the practice of dating clients “contrary to the law.” ‘ethics”.
“I care very deeply about my clients and obviously we have become close. But when I say us, I mean the whole team, and of course that includes Johnny,” Vasquez told People, adding that the ‘Edward Scissorhands’ star had been his friend and client for four years and half.
Vasquez was also sure to mention that she was “very happy” in her relationship with boyfriend Edward Owen.
“It is also an unethical accusation. It’s sexist,” she continued. “It’s unfortunate and disappointing, but at the same time it comes with the territory. I can’t say I was very surprised.
